The digital technology i used for my opening scene was a Cannon HD digital camera. The canon Hd allowed me to shoot high quality shots. Moreover, the camera also has a 180' flip screen this allowed me to adjust the screen allowing me to get better angles when taking shots. Further-more, the digital screen allowed me to play back footage, so i could evaluate whether the footage was sufficient and if not, i could redo it. In-addition the camera was very light, this meant i could move around when filming, allowing me to do an over the shoulder shot which was a shot used in my opening scene prior to the gang fight. The camera however, did have disadvantages such as the microphone, the microphone was quite poor quality. Moreover, the another disadvtage to the cameras was the short battery life, when i went out to film certian footage for my opening scene. As a rsult of this when film in future for my music video i will ensure the camera is fully charged prior to filming. 

 

Another piece of equipment i used was and LED light. The LED light was adjustable, this meant i could alter the brightness, dependent on the lighting needed for the shot. I used the LED light when creating a dark atmosphere for the fight scene, without the LED light the footage was almost too dark to view. Moreover, the fact i could use more than one LED light was very useful as it meaat i could ultimtealy adjust the lighting no matter how extreme it was in the first place  The LED light ulitmaetly allowed me to take better quality footage. From using the LED lights in my opening scene i have realised the great importance of lighting when portraying atmosphere and when shooting good quality footage. 

 

Tripod- When making the opening scene, i used a tripod. The tripod allowed me to take steady camera shots and movemnts for example panning movements. You can adjust the height, position and angle of the tripod, this allowed me to take a variety of shots at various angles. The tripod allowed me to take close up shots of the gang members, which allowed have character identification to my opening scene. However the Tripod at points can be stiff, this can cause footage to sometimes appear shakey as a result of this i will test out the Tripods before i use them to esnure smooth movemnt, this should ultimetaly make my camera movemnts much better and of a higher quality when filming my music video.
